Mischa holds a Master of Education in Social Justice Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, with over two decades working as an educator and advocate for the LGBTQ+ Community.  Mischa was thrust into the spotlight as one of the first legal same-sex marriages in Canada on the reality TV series My Fabulous Gay Wedding.  He translated that notoriety into advocacy work to improve transgender inclusion in the British Columbia school system.  Since then, he has advised large organizations and projects on developing and implementing plans to foster LGBTQ+ well-being, anti-discrimination, diversity and inclusion.

Mischa was formerly a Board Member and Volunteer Coordinator for Vancouver Pride, the largest Pride festival in western Canada. As a former teacher and advertising executive, Mischa delivers personalized, approachable, engaging and actionable services.

Mischa Oak is a Loran Scholar, recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal, and alumnus of Queen's University, University of Toronto, and Memorial University.

LGBTQ Inclusion Training expresses gratitude for operating on the traditional and unceded land of numerous Indigenous communities. As part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation we support Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer stewardship and advocacy. LGBTQ Inclusion Training is committed to ongoing learning and relationship with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities and reflects decolonization and allyship in our work.
